Meet the Branson Giveaway Winners!

We know many of you worked it like a job, entering our Branson Vacation Giveaway contest, and we thank you. The luck was with Ken and Mia Warlick of Wichita as we drew their names from a hat. They will take their Branson vacation this summer and are very excited.

We asked Mia a few questions, so readers of  Wichita magazine's blog could get to know the lucky folks a little better.

Ages:
We're old! I'm 49, and Ken is 57.

What was your reaction when you found out that you won?

A City Snapshot

In our June issue, you'll notice a new department on the magazine's final page—Wichita magazine's "Last Look." Each month, we'll snap a close-up photo of a Wichita landmark. Readers can guess what the image depicts and its whereabouts by e-mailing editor@wichitacitymag.com or writing to Wichita Magazine, 3450 N. Rock Road, Ste. 202, Wichita, KS 67226.

We'll draw from the correct guesses to determine the winner of a delicious dinner for two at a fabulous Wichita restaurant.

The June issue has only been out a few days, but the guesses are already pouring in. Hurry, and let know your guess. Read more »

The REO Speedwagon concert caps off the series as the band performs hits like “Can't Fight This Feeling,” “Roll With The Changes,” “Ridin' The Storm Out” and “Find Your Own Way Home.” Read more »

Wichita Magazine to the Rescue

A visiting couple from Ireland approached us at the Midwest Winefest event on Saturday night, and shared their first experience with Wichita magazine. They arrived early to Wichita for a Cessna conference this week and wanted to spend the weekend out on the town. When they arrived at their hotel room, Wichita magazine was waiting for them. Not only had it helped point them to Winefest's amazing evening of wining and dining—but it also helped them make plans for the rest of the weekend.

Next time we're in Ireland, we'll expect the same from them. Read more »

A Toast to Wichita

The talented ladies of Artfully Blended have created a drink worthy of  Wichita's name. The I.C.T. is a rich blend of tea infused vodka and fresh sour mix, garnished with fresh mint and strawberries. It was featured at our Top Lawyers event this  March, and it was a smashing success.

For a peek at the recipe, check out the fashion section in the upcoming June issue of Wichita magazine. Read more »
